What is GDPR?

The General Data Protection Regulation is an EU-wide law that came into force on the 25th May 2018. The regulation affects every organisation that handles the personal data of EU citizens. Essentially, the rules about how you can handle people’s data have changed and a new set of individuals’ rights has been established. The laws are complex (there are 99 articles in the legislation) but compliance needn’t be – if you let us handle things.

Our Services

We understand the new laws and can make sure that your organisation complies with them. You won’t need to know the letter of the law and risk fines for misunderstanding or misinterpreting it, because you will have used our services to turn complex legislation into simple implementation plans.

Sense Check

Sense Check

If you are not certain whether you are holding any personal data, allow us to conduct a free Sense Check to establish whether you might need our services. This service is completely free and can be performed over the phone.

Assessment and Report

For companies that are holding personal data and are unsure of how to proceed we can conduct a full Readiness Review. If you have not signed up for our support services (below), we offer this full assessment from £500 based on a minimum of 4 hours at our standard rate of £125 / hour.

Training Services

Some or all of your staff will need to be trained in new business practices. The amount of training required may vary depending on how much interaction a staff member has with personal data. We offer video training courses that can be completed online and a 5-course GDPR Training programme at increasing levels of sophistication.

Support Services

Support Services

For clients who have commissioned an initial assessment and report from us, we offer access to our Support Services from as little as £100 per month. Our call centre can help with your general enquiries and we have partners in the legal, insurance and information technology professions who can be called upon to answer more specific questions.

Software Upgrade

Software Upgrade

Software can help you document everything you need to do for GDPR. We can provide easy-to-use portal software and dynamic spreadsheets that use pre-populated templates. Our secure software can be used for storing and encrypting personal data. If you have an in-house development team, we can advise them on designing compliant software.

Data Protection Officer

Data Protection Officer

Your Data Protection Officer (DPO) must be independent. They cannot perform any data-handling tasks within your organisation that might compromise the independence of their role. We can act as your DPO, ensuring no conflicts of interest.
